RJ and Chelsea’s Wedding

October 20, 2010

Well, we have FINALLY been able to get this blog post up and going.  It didn’t help that we wanted to upload all 600 pictures!  This wedding had so much character and personality that just fit Chelsea and RJ perfectly.  There were SO many little homemade touches that we had to share with you.  We felt incredibly blessed to have been apart of this special occasion.  It was such a God honoring event. Thank you RJ and Chelsea for including us in it!

Enough chit chat lets get to it!!!

Here are some little bits of the ceremony and reception that was done by the bride and her family.  Aren’t those cones made of book pages filled with birdseed just the sweetest?! They had little vintage things everywhere including that cute fan.

Here are some more little looks at how creative this couple is.  This tree was drawn by the groom on a canvas and instead of a sign in book, they had people put their thumb prints on the tree with their names next to it.  Even their fans that they provided the guest were creative.  A friend who is an artist, designed the graphic of the couple on the front with the family tree on the back.  While all of the girls were getting ready, we noticed the flower girl writing on this sign.  I had to get a picture of it!

HHow stylish are these guys?!  They all have different color grey suits with those awesome brown shoes.

This picture was taken on Chelsea’s grandparent’s awesome porch that wraps around their house.

Ok, I love this detail that Chelsea did.  She got each girl a purse from www.etsy.com that matched the color shoes they were wearing.  This is what they carried down the aisle instead of flowers.

We were taking the bridesmaids’ pictures and had to get this shot of the sweet flower girl watching.

Here are the hair pictures that were taken at where Chelsea works as a hair stylist.  She did her hair along with her others in the wedding party.  She is AMAZING!!!

How awesome that they had golf carts that carried guests and then the bride and her father up to the ceremony site.  And, the other picture is, I think my favorite of the whole wedding because I snuck around the closed curtain to capture this precious intimate moment with just her and her father right before she walked down the aisle.  I love how tightly they are squeezing hands!

Here they are at the table just before taking communion together.

This was so sweet.  This was an intimate prayer between just the immediate families of the bride and groom.  And you can really see the beautiful homemade arch of branches that they made for the alter.

The reception area was just as impressive as the ceremony.  It was a large white tent, with old windows hanging from the sides.  It was filled with tables with sweet details like candles and vintage bottles and birdcages.

What ended up so great was that it started to get really stormy, but instead of stopping everything, the bride and groom made a few adjustments and just kept on partying!!! And we kept on snapping away!!! I love this pic of Chelsea bringing people out onto the dance floor.  She wasn’t going to let a little storm get in her way! And then, you gotta love the picture of the lightening! It lit up the sky purple and made for a neat photo.

This awesome photo booth was made by the bride and groom.  They cut out holes and put the frames over them, with fabric covering the back.  And then of course they had bags of super fun props that everyone had fun with.
